MIXED MEDIA is more than just an alternate technique --it's my way of recycling.  One by-product of printmaking is a wonderful hoard of printed and patterned papers.  I never discard any of these -- they eventually find their way into collages and artist books, and occasionally they are the germinating spark for new works that combine a variety of processes.
